Frequently Asked Questions about Hosting a Player (pdf)
A vital part of a successful season is to have host families provide housing for the players, giving them support and a family atmosphere for the summer. When you host a player, you are not just taking on a guest for the summer.
Your family will be embarking on an experience that will make you a part of an
extended baseball family.
Imagine cheering on your very own player at all the games when they come up
to bat or pitches a game. You and your family will have a personal interest in
the team and if you have kids, they will love the experience of having a
"baseball big brother" living with them for the summer.
We are currently seeking host families for the 2010 season. Our players are collegiate athletes who come from all over the country to play in the Cal Ripken, Sr. summertime wood bat league. These young men have been selected to play because of their potential to succeed as a professional baseball player. They will provide a positive influence on the community, and your home.
